I installed from the internet cod united offensive to my MACBOOK I downloaded from this site (http://www.application-systems.eu/unitedoffensive/index.html)

the games that start well but after 30 seconds the game it disconnects with the message'''' couldn't load maps / mp / mp_uo_carentan.bsp''

Can you help me? How do I rename folder in my finder folder uo?

You probably acidentally deleted some file...or some bug happened.
Reinstall the game and maybe it will work.
Or just allow downloading,and look for a server who just at that time is playing on carentan map.

did you update to 1.51c?

for mac you can download the 1.51c patch. give it a search and try again. im also looking for a free cod for mac download to try on my mac, but have not found a free download yet.

are you running OSX lion or mountain lion? then CoD will not run anymore. CoD for mac is a converted version or a PowerPC program. If you can go back to Snow Leopard, you can run CoD. This is the last OSX version that supports PowerPC programs.

If you don't want to change OSX, you may want to install Win7 on the mac and use dual boot. Or use a windows enabler called Wine, this allows to use Windows programs to run under OSX, however the performance for games will not be good as it runs 2 systems (OSX and Windows)

I have run W7 dual boot on my Mac and it runs fine, even Cod is no problem
