Earn That Arty!

Here's a suggestion I hope you will consider;

As some of you might agree, once a few players on either team reach 40 kills (very easy) - The arty-party can get a bit out of control, especially on small maps.

In the AWE 2.1(?) config, you will find these entries -

// Points need to reach each rank
//set awe_br1 "10"
//set awe_br2 "20"
//set awe_br3 "30"
//set awe_br4 "40"

As you may have guessed my suggestion by now, I think it would be a brilliant idea if the final rank was set to something like 60, or even 70. This would raise the bar and push the players harder to "Earn That Arty!" and at the same time create a less laggier, smoother game for everyone.

i agree, like today, playing on Arnhem with 15vs15
the whole german team had like 40+ 'kills' and there were like 5 arties at the same time nuking the british making the game laggy and not fun. but i think 70 is a bit too much, i think 55-60 would be better and real for people

Yeah I think 70 is a bit too much, though that's me being hardcore as usual ;D but 60 seems spot on, as on CTF maps players can get 40 'kills' by means of the flag points alone.

I hope you (DH) will consider this, you could at least trial it for a week and see how it goes

hehe same i dont find 70 too much but i think most players on the servers will since they aren't as ''hardcore'' as we are =3

This would also be a good idea imo, as you eventually receive 2 nades through rank anyway. That may sound contradicting, but 1 nade from start would be better for smaller maps.

You get 2 nades at 10 frags anyway...... when's that? after 2-3 minutes? )

Well, the limit of 40 frags was made 7 years ago, now everybody masters the game and the limit is too low. 60 should be ok.

Well yestaerday game rank was disabled (no additional amo, no satchel, no arty) and it was really nice =D.

Yeah i notice too ..I'll check again tomorrow morning when server is empty cause i can't stop the server if there are players online!
