Good work jeebus. The EU project is tranforming into the modern version of USSR. In the end it might be one world government and no nation states. Just look at the Hungary, they are already bullied in Europe because they decided to change their constitution their way and whats the most important - they put tax on international corporations.

with acta i´m most worried about articles:

27.1: forces ISP´s to cooperate with copyright holders, bypassing normal law and the right to a fair trial in removing or blocking alledgedly infringing content... meaning that, for example, this site could be taken down just because some1 would have linked to a video that perhaps isn´t legal. problem here is they don´t need to even check if that´s the case, it´s enough that copyright holders SAYS that´s the case... gsus.

27.4: right-holders will be allowed to obtain private data regarding the users of the internet from the IPS´s without a decision made by a judge.. meaning if i would claim i have the rights to some video, i can connect my ISP and tell them to give out information about, for example, an IP-number. not hard at all to get the info about what, for example, internet pages six is surfing on every day or what he does on the internet in a whole.. gsus.

27.28: enforcement of "means of widespread distribution purposes"... meaning it could be interpreted in a way that criminalizes bloggs, P2P networks and free software (just to name a few examples).. gsus..

ACTA was already not approved in Bulgaria, Holland, Germany, Polland, Cezch Republic and Slovenia.

Also my Government, along with Hungary and Belgium are currently reconsidering it.

Very true. Point 27.4 means mass invigilation of the people. Do not forget though that the game isn't only for our web rights but also it will be present in all aspects of our life, for example medicines. According to this agreement cheaper generic medicines , which actually save life may be forbidden.

ACTA is already signed by the 22 EU states. Just Cyprus, Estonia and Slovakia didn't sign. Germany and Holland only postponed and they will put a mark on the paper in the nearest future. The point is that this trade agreement must be ratified by all 27 countries . Next step is the European Parliament and the ratificastion must be done over there also.

yes. the medicins are affected cuz many poor (and not so poor) countries rely on being able to copy a drug and sell it under another name much cheaper. this will not be possible if acta becomes reality = lives lost. this is one of the key points why, for example, doctor´s without borders is against acta. when talking about acta i usually stick to the internet rights cuz they are the ones affecting me most, but there are plenty of other stuff that acta fux up than internet rights, that´s true.

i find this sooo interesting to read lol. more fun than reading the newspaper
